I've had this very strong urge to master the art of Granny Squares for months. Yesterday I sat myself down and tackled single crochet. Just that simple step led me to correct a number of mistakes I have been making on those seldom occations with hook in hand. Today I'll tackle double crochet I hope.

I've recently re-discovered my love of crochet and bought Jan Eaton's book '200 Crochet Blocks' from Amazon. What a fab book! I made my 1st square this afternoon and it came out wonderfully, I can't wait to make another one.
Crochet is wonderfully fun in small doses. I second the Jan Eaton book suggestion, too.
